Carpinus japonica

Japanese Hornbeam

A refined, small to medium deciduous tree admired for its elegant form, smooth gray bark, and excellent seasonal interest. Bright green, finely pleated leaves emerge in spring, remain clean through summer, and develop yellow to orange-red fall color.
