Common Name: Spreading Jacob's Ladder
A spectacular perennial forming low mound of medium-green ferny leaves surrounded with creamy white margins and flushed with pink shade in cooler spring climate. New leaves continue to outshine all throughout the season. Clusters of violet-blue bell-shaped flowers held above sturdy, upright stems emerge from mid spring to late spring. Very attractive perennial. It normally grows 12-16 inches tall and 14-18 inches wide in compact, clump-forming habit. It thrives best in partial sun to partial shade conditions in a wide range of rich, moist, fertile soil with excellent drainage. Drought tolerant. Staiway-heaven is very suitable for edging, shady border or planted beside a woodland path.
