Pinus Contorta 'Taylor's Sunburst'

Common Name: Tylor's Sunburst Lodgepole Pine

An amazing irregular evergreen conifer with green needles that grow upright and slender in summer. In spring, the astonishing vivid yellow-gold newly growth contrasts with light green needles and ultimately turn dark green when mature. This showy newly growth sometimes embellished with small red cones for first year. Barks are rough. It normally grows 15 ft tall in 10 years and form an upright,spreading growth habit. Pinus contorta 'Taylor's Sunburst' needs full sun exposure in well-drained soil. Best use as accent and specimen.
