Admiration Barberry is indeed a remarkable shrub showing off its striking purple foliage all summer, turning orange-red with chartreuse margin in fall. In midspring, clusters of pink flowers dangle below the branches. It bears red fruits from early fall to late fall. This shrub normally reaches 24 inches high and spread 3 ft wide in compact habit of growth. It thrives best in full sun to partial shade in a wide range of rich,moist, fertile soil that drains well. Drought tolerant. Excellent selection for general garden, mass planting, ground cover and border edging.
