Features small, heart-shaped, showy silvery pale-green leaves surrounded with dark green margins. Striking clusters of short, upright violet flowers emerge from late spring to early summer. Remove spent flowers to unfurl new buds. Grows at fast rate, reaching 8 inches tall and spread 4 ft wide in mat-forming growth habit. An outstanding perennial groundcover. It thrives best in partial sun to full shade conditions in a wide range of rich,moist, fertile soil with average drainage. Very suitable for accent and looks impressive in mixed shaded borders or rock gardens.
