Common Name: Twilight Prairie Blues False Indigo

Baptisia ‘Twilite Prairieblues’ (often sold simply as Twilite Prairieblues™ false indigo) is a vigorous hybrid false indigo (Baptisia) perennial prized for its abundant bicolor violet-purple and yellow-keeled pea-like flower spikes and strong presence in perennial borders, meadows, or prairie-style plantings. It’s part of the Prairieblues™ series developed for enhanced color, vigor, and ornamental interest. Key features Width / spread: 4–5 ft (150 cm) mature spread, forming a broad mound of foliage and flowers. Height: 3–5 ft (90–150 cm) tall at maturity with flower spikes included. Flower color: Deep violet-purple flowers with pale yellow keels on tall racemes. Bloom time: Late spring to early summer (flowering period into early summer). Foliage: Blue-green trifoliate leaves that form a rounded mound during the growing season. Form: Upright, mounded clump with stiff flowering stems. Life cycle: Herbaceous perennial (dies back in winter).
