Common Name: Besse Howells Rhododendron
An attention grabbing shrub that features large trusses of funnel-shaped, deep rosy-red flowers with deep red blotch on late spring. Glossy green leaves are slightly rippled. This upright cultivar thrives in shaded areas but tolerates some sun in rich, humusy, acidic, well-drained soil.
