Common Name: Chitose Yama Japanese Maple
In spring fuzzy brick-red leaves emerge turning bronze-green by summer. Fall color is crimson. Vigorous growing but stays smaller than most laceleaf . The dense cascading branching makes for a beautiful addition to the garden. Prefers afternoon shade to keep the leaves from scorching.
