Red wings appear laste spring creating a nice contrast to the green leaves. The Nikisha Gawa is supposedly the most popular Japanese maple in Japan. The eventual height is 18' with a width of 12 to 15'. Thrives well in full sun to partial sun and requires moist, well-drained soil.
